Support The Unknown Universe
Let’s be real: nobody visits a tech blog looking for ways to spend money. You’re here because something happened in the tech world, a major privacy screw-up dropped, or you’re trying to make sense of the latest open-source drama and you want to read about it without scrolling past a wall of targeted ad trackers.
That’s why this site doesn’t run ad networks, tracking pixels, or surveillance scripts. It’s just an independent, ad-free log of rants, tech stories, and notes on self-hosting and privacy, hosted on Ionos.
How to Chip In

If a post gave you something to think about or saved you from missing the forest for the trees, and you want to throw a few pound at the overheads, you’ve got two ways to do it without getting sucked into a corporate ecosystem:
Liberapay: The open-source, non-profit option with zero platform fees. If you like things decentralised and clean, this is it.
Ko-fi: The quick tip jar. No accounts or recurring subscriptions required if you just want to drop a one-off coffee and get back to your terminal.
There are no paywalls, no secret content, and no guilt trips. The site stays open regardless. If you want to help keep the server paid for, thanks. If you just read the piece and close the tab, that works too. 🤓
